On GitHub: simple terminal UI for git commands

Open on GitHub

lazygit opens a full-screen interface in your terminal with panels for files, branches, commits, and stashes. You move with the arrow keys and press single keys for actions such as staging a file, committing, or pushing. Press ? in any panel to see the keybindings available there.

It shines at tasks that are fiddly on the command line: staging individual lines, reordering or squashing commits in an interactive rebase, and stepping through merge conflicts. Because it runs ordinary Git underneath, everything it does is visible with normal commands such as git log afterwards.

The README lists install options for macOS, Linux, and Windows package managers. It is a good companion for beginners who want to see what Git is doing, and for experienced users who want speed.
