On GitHub: Stateful zone based firewall daemon with D-Bus interface

Open on GitHub

firewalld manages the kernel packet filter through zones, predefined services and a D-Bus API, and separates runtime from permanent configuration. Its command-line client is firewall-cmd; graphical and web consoles use the same API.

The repository is handy when you want to see exactly which ports a predefined service such as https or postgresql opens (the XML files under config/services/), to read the documentation sources, or to check the issue tracker and release notes. Install firewalld from your distribution’s packages rather than from source.
