On GitHub: Production-Grade Container Scheduling and Management
Open on GitHubThis is the core Kubernetes repository, maintained by the Kubernetes project under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. It contains the code of the control plane components (kube-apiserver, kube-scheduler, kube-controller-manager), the node agents (kubelet, kube-proxy) and the kubectl client.
For operators, the most useful parts are the release changelogs, which list deprecations and removed APIs before each upgrade, and the issue tracker, where exact error messages can be searched. The documentation itself lives in a separate repository, kubernetes/website, and most users install Kubernetes through a distribution or a tool such as kubeadm rather than building from this source.
